Spring 2010 Y MEMBERSHIPWelcome to the YMCA! Get ready for the Y experience! By becoming an active member at the Twin Lakes Family YMCA, you also become an active member of the community. Here at the Y, you will find numerous opportunities to help achieve the YMCA goal of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. In addition to dozens of sports and other classes for kids and adults alike, our YMCA offers a gymnasium and outdoor swimming pool (May-September); FREE childcare, Kids Gym and Adventure Zone; FREE fitness classes; and a complete Health and Wellness Center. This member is also entitled to FREE ChildWatch, FREE youth sports, one FREE Family Friday per month (reservations required). Reduced fees on classes and programs for all Family Members. Children ages 12 and older may use the facility* without being accompanied by a parent. *Does not include Fitness Center. Program Membership (PM)Programs at the YMCA are available to anyone. Simply stop in at the YMCA to register today. Free ChildWatchChildWatch is free to Family Members only. 2-hour limit per day for infants under 2 yrs and 3 hours a day for ages 3-7. The Zone is available for kids ages 8-12. NO PEANUT PRODUCTS PLEASE! Free Youth SportsSign up your child today for YMCA Youth Sports. Your child may choose one sport per season. Membership must stay current until last scheduled game. You will be billed for the full price of the league if your membership becomes inactive during the season. Game Plan uniform package required per season. Easy PayFor your convenience, the YMCA has a monthly, automatic bank or credit card transfer. With your authorization, monthly membership dues are deducted from your account on the same day each month. If you should wish to discontinue, please give us a 14-day written notice. Membership must remain current through end of registered program. Financial AssistanceNo person shall be denied membership or program participation by reason of inability to pay. All requests are confidential. Funds for financial assistance are provided by our Strong Kids Campaign. VolunteersSupport the YMCA through volunteering. Many opportunities are available for all ages! Please check with our Front Desk or call us at 512.250.9622 for more information. CoachesAll YMCA coaches are volunteers. Make a difference in the life of a child and volunteer to coach. Sports-specific training is provided. Please call us at 512.250.9622 to learn how you can help! Guest PolicyWe thank you for your interest in our YMCA! We welcome your participation as a guest in our facility. As a membership organization, guest privileges are our way of introducing an individual to the YMCA. Kids GymThe Kids Gym is a complimentary service for the children of Facility Members only. Children may use the Kids Gym while the parent is on-site. (Some limits may apply.) Gym Days/Times: NO PEANUT PRODUCTS PLEASE! NurseryThe nursery is a complimentary service for the children of Facility Members only. Children may come to the nursery while the parent is on-site. (Some limits may apply.) Nursery Day/Times: NO PEANUT PRODUCTS PLEASE! The ZoneCheck out our newly remodeled Teen Zone. Complete with pool table, PS2, computers with online access, fooseball, big screen TV, games and more. SilverSneakers®The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program is the nation's leading exercise program designed exclusively for Medicare beneficiaries. Eligible members receive a no-cost basic membership courtesy of select health insurance companies. As a SilverSneakers® member, you enjoy all amenities included with a basic membership: Senior Advisors assistance, social events and specialized low-impact SilverSneakers® classes focusing on improving muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, range of movement, balance, agility and coordination. SilverSneakers® IMuscular Strength & Range of Movement. Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and skills required during activities for daily living (ADL). Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and standing support, stretching and relaxation.
